Cats TV caught up with Geelong’s physio Mike Snelling for the weekly update from the nib Medical Room.

Currently Lincoln McCarthy is working his way through another setback after making a sound return from last year’s foot injury.

McCarthy, who has been suffering from a troubled back, started his season off well by adding two AFL games to his belt having been starved of a run since his debut in Round 10, 2012.

However, Snelling is confident that he’s now on his way to recovery.

“Yeah poor old Linc after making such a great return and straight into the AFL after his long-standing foot injury, which he’s going really well with, he’s had a little back complaint,” Snelling told Cats TV.

“It remains a little bit sore but he is on the mend, he is improving, so we’ve just got to get him exposed to training again and see how he copes with that before we make a decision on him playing.”
