Cats TV spoke to Hamish McIntosh and Scott Gullan about Sunday’s upcoming clash against Port Adelaide at the new Adelaide Oval.

So far this year Port Adelaide has been an absolute powerhouse with only one little hiccup against North Melbourne.

According to Gullan, this week will be an ominous meeting against a young team who are already showing they have the pace and class for finals.

“This game has danger written all over it,” Gullan said.

“What I like about the Power is that they’ve got 12 or 13 who can run through the midfield which is similar to Geelong so they’re set up in similar ways and they can kick it really well - so this is going to be the toughest encounter of the season besides Hawthorn.”

McIntosh says the Cats will have to be ready to create their own electricity on the field in order to compete against a large crowd of excited Port fans.

“There are going to be very vocal and passionate supporters over there, especially because they’re going so well and they’re a great footy side at the moment, so it’s going to be a huge challenge for us… we’ve just got to make sure we bring our own atmosphere and play some good footy.”
