Geelong ruckman Trent West has trained strongly on Wednesday morning, increasing his chances of playing in the AFL in round one.

West completed the session at St Mary's oval along with other members of the club's rehab group.

West's partner in the training drill was young forward Daniel Menzel. Both Menzel and West moved with ease showing both change of direction, marking and pinpoint kicking.

Paul Chapman and Joel Corey also participated in some drills and do not look hampered by injury. Youngster Jed Bews, on the return from a foot injury was restricted to running laps.
