Geelong’s VFL side has bounced back from last week’s close loss to Werribee to thrash the Northern Blues at Preston Oval.

A ten goal to one first half set up the Cats win with the Geelong players better handling the wet and wild conditions.

Nick Bourke and Daniel Gibbs were the Cats highest goalkickers with three each whilst Lincoln McCarthy booted two in his return from a long layoff.

Playing his first game since the Cats win over St Kilda in round 13, Brad Hartman was best on ground for the Cats racking up 20 touches, six tackles and five clearances. He was ably assisted by Mitch Brown, Jesse Stringer and Billie Smedts.

Full report to come.
