Fifteen Geelong Falcons have been selected in this year’s Vic Country under-18 squad, including potential father-son Oscar Brownless.

Other notable inclusions in the 65-man squad include Cassidy Parish (brother of Essendon’s Darcy), Tom McCartin (brother of St Kilda’s Pat) and looming first-round selection James Worpel – but it is Brownless who will draw the eye of Cats’ fans.

Ineligible to be drafted in 2017, the Geelong Amateur product was named co-captain of last year’s Vic Country under-16 team and will look to make the under 18s as a bottom-aged player.

Players from six country-based teams across Victoria comprise the squad, which will now take part in a three-day training camp and trial game later this week.
