The VFL Cats have named an extended 28-man squad for Saturday’s fourth and final practice match against Essendon at the True Value Solar Centre, Tullamarine.

The squad, which will be reduced to 23 players on Saturday morning, includes three big men Rhys Stanley, Dawson Simpson and Hamish McIntosh.

Josh Walker is set to play in the VFL again this week where he is likely to add to his goal tally for 2015. The tall forward has booted 10 goals over the past two practice matches.

Jackson Thurlow will also play again for the Bendigo Bankers after getting through last week’s practice match unscathed. Thurlow returned after recovering from a lacerated kidney injury.
