CATS senior coach Chris Scott has used the latest episode of Tweet The Coach, brought to you by Momentum Energy, to speak about how he has handled the players in the wake of the Easter Monday loss to Hawthorn.

Scott was responding to a Twitter question from a fan that asked if he had given the players "a bake".

"I'd like to think that we're always measured," he said. "There's a lot of room for emotion in the game, but when it gets in the way of what's really important, then it's a waste of time and can, in fact, be negative.

"The most important thing, I think, that our supporters want to know is that everyone's being held accountable, and in my mind that starts with the coaching group and me in particular.

"Our system wasn't good enough and that's my responsibility. But it's also my responsibility to keep the players accountable for their performance, and I'm confident that's been done this week."

Scott also addressed questions about:

* Whether draftees Cory Gregson and Nakia Cockatoo will stay in the team
* His thoughts on promoting Hamish McIntosh or Josh Walker to the AFL team
* Whether the Cats are putting enough pressure on the opposition ball-carrier
* When Jake Kolodjashnij might debut
