Both coaches have given Patrick Dangerfield the nod as best afield in the Cats's win over Fremantle on Friday night.

Dangerfield led the way for the winners, tallying 31 disposals and kicking four goals.

That earned him a perfect 10 in the AFL Coaches' Association Champion Player of the Year award.

Geelong players dominated the post-match voting, with Corey Enright, Joel Selwood and Andrew Mackie also featuring among the vote-getters.

Dangerfield is now just vote behind the overall leader, his former teammate Rory Sloane.
