A massive game on Saturday night for the Cats so we look at the Cats who may get the call up.

Jared Rivers
A late exclusion due to match ups, Rivers will more than likely slot straight back in to the Cats line-up on Saturday night. With the Pies touting Cloke, White and Goldsack up forward, Rivers will allow the Cats to rotate across the bigs and even allow some Harry Taylor forward spells.

Jackson Sheringham
Sheringham travelled with the team to Brisbane but wasn’t needed for the clash. With an injury cloud over Corey Enright, Sheringham may be required to come in and play a defenders role. The only thing working against him will be the fact he won’t have played in two weeks this Saturday night and may require some VFL match practice.

Jake Kolodjashnij
Once again Jake Kolodjashnij showed why Cats fans should be excited by the up and coming tall backman with a best on ground effort in the VFL. Despite being massively undersized against the Footscray big forwards, Kolodjashnij held his own and was rarely scored on. Quick, tall and smart, Kolodjashnij is just what you want in a modern day backman.

Josh Walker
A game up forward for Josh Walker had great results with the big Cat booting three goals in the VFL victory. This is just what Walker needed and he’ll look to build on this whether in the VFL’s official season opener this week or a call up to the AFL side.

Jackson Thurlow
Another player who may benefit from a potential loss of Corey Enright is Jackson Thurlow. Whilst not a stand out for the VFL side on the weekend, Thurlow did all the right things in the team’s victory. Not shy of the big stage and a more than capable defender, Thurlow will definitely come into the match committee’s thoughts.

George Burbury
A successful return to football for George Burbury who booted two goals and got plenty of the footy for the VFL side on the weekend. Burbury will be itching to show the coaches his preseason form can be consistently shown during the regular season. Loves the big stage and there is no bigger than the Pies at the’G.
