Rising Star nominee Brandan Parfitt can't wait to play in his first Easter Monday blockbuster against Hawthorn at the MCG.

The 18-year-old, who tallied 23 disposals in last weekend's win over Melbourne, is going to lean on his older teammates as he looks for advice on handling the big occasion.

“I’ll have a chat to a few of the boys and ask them how to go about things,” Parfitt said at Simonds Stadium on Tuesday.

“But, I’ll just try and treat it like a normal game."

The Hawkins might be on the bottom of the ladder but Parfitt, who watched plenty of classic Hawthorn-Geelong games on the television while growing up in Darwin, is expecting another titanic struggle.

“It’s a always a tight match-up,” he said.

“I used to love watching those games … I can’t believe in it now.”
