Patrick Dangerfield has secured a top 20 finish in the 2018 Shadforth Financial Group AFLCA award with a perfect round of 10 votes to finish the season.

The midfielder’s perfect game against the Suns took him to 17th in the overall voting, 37 votes behind Max Gawn who became the first ruckman to take out the award.

Dangerfield was the highest-finishing Cat this year, leading Tim Kelly and Gary Ablett who rounded out the top three.

Dangerfield, who won the award in 2016, was the highest stat-getter and goal kicker on the ground on Saturday as he gathered 34 disposals and kicked four goals in the triple figure win.

The Cats completed a clean sweep of the votes, with all six players polling wearing the hoops on Saturday afternoon.

Tim Kelly took home eight votes for his three goals and 23 disposals, while Joel Selwood was awarded six.

Kelly finished second for the Cats in a stunning first season in Geelong, with his classy finishing around goal a standout feature of his play.

Gary Ablett, Mitch Duncan and Tom Hawkins secured two votes apiece, to finish third, fifth and seventh respectively.
