Versatility could be the biggest asset in the career of Jordan Murdoch, according to Geelong coach Chris Scott.

Drafted in 2011, the 25-year-old has been used predominantly through the midfield across his 70 career games to date.

Featuring in all six rounds this year, Murdoch has begun to cement his spot in the Cats’ best 22 and Scott believes it’s his ability to play a multitude of positions which holds him in good stead.

“He’s got extreme speed and has some attributes with his power and his marking ability to play all three parts of the ground,” Scott told Momentum Energy’s #AskTheCoach.

“Long term, we’d like to see him as that sort of player – probably a midfielder first, but then someone who can swing back and forward as need be.”
