Quinton Narkle is adamant he will make every post a winner after being snapped up by the Cats in November's national draft.

Narkle, who was selected with pick 60, has turned his football career around in the past couple of years.

And he wants to make the most of the opportunity he now has at Simonds Stadium.

"If you asked me two years ago if [playing in the] AFL is what I wanted to do, I probably would have said, 'No way. Not in a thousand years,'" the 18-year-old (he turns 19 on Saturday, December 3) told Cats Media.

"But in the last two years I've just focussed on footy a lot more and the improvement has been massive.

"I'm so lucky to be here."

A livewire half-forward who can push into the midfield, Narkle will wear number 19 in his first season with the Cats.
