Jordan Murdoch has been named as a finalist for the 2015 Coates Hire Goal of the Year alongside Fremantle's Nat Fyfe and Adelaide's Eddie Betts.

The three finalists were selected at the conclusion of the home and away season by the All-Australian Selection Committee.

The Cats' resident speedster received a nomination for a piece of brilliance against Collingwood in round 6.

The 23-year-old managed to spin, shimmy and fake all before booting a goal from 45m early in the third quarter.

The Cats went on to win the match by 41 points.

The overall winner will be selected by public voting which closes on September 24 and announced at the Brownlow Medal ceremony on Spetember 28.
