In the rooms after Geelong’s 75-point win over the Eagles Cats TV caught up with young Cat George Horlin-Smith.

In the middle Horlin-Smith delivered his best game for the year where he equaled his career best of 23 touches along with four clearances, five inside-50s and three goals.

However, the modest Cat believed it was the pressure from Geelong’s backline that steered them home on a winning track.

“I thought defensively they didn’t have many scoring opportunities after quarter time which is a real positive for us,” Horlin-Smith told Cats TV.

Senior defender Jared Rivers, who pocketed 24 touches and 12 marks, was a stand out for Horlin-Smith.

“I though Jared Rivers was awesome tonight, the amount of one-on-ones he won was just amazing and it’s just team lifting and I think it really does help to kick start our game when the guys are winning contests that they should not necessarily win.”
