Former Super Netballer Melissa Bragg is going from strength to strength in her football career. Having only picked up the Sherrin seriously for the first time in early 2022, Bragg was brought up to Geelong’s Season 7 list as a replacement for an inactive player, following an impressive debut VFLW season. Now on the Cats’ primary list, Bragg hasn’t taken a step back, hitting the training track with the VFLW group for pre-season almost immediately after AFLW Season 7 wrapped up. The 2023 VFLW season saw Bragg emerge as a leading defender, with her ability to read the play and cut off opposition attacks a major asset to the team. After playing two AFLW games in Season 7, Bragg will be keen for more senior appearances in 2023.
