Geelong star, Breanna Pratt is set to break the Cats VFLW games record this weekend when she runs out for her 56th game in the Hoops on Saturday afternoon.
Pratt joined former Cat, Maddie Boyd last week with 55 games but will surpass her to take the outright lead on Saturday, as Geelong's VFLW team head to Avalon Airport Oval to take on North Melbourne Werribee.
Starting her VFLW journey in 2021, Pratt joined Geelong's program and immediately cemented her spot in the team, amassing a career-high 22 disposals against Casey in just her sixth game in the Hoops.
Pratt went on to play every game in her inaugural season, helping the Cats to reach the VFLW Finals and playing an instrumental role as Geelong won both their Semi and Preliminary Finals.
Advancing to the Grand Final and set to take on Collingwood, unfortunately the decider never took place due to Covid lockdowns in Victoria.
After an interrupted 2022 season, Pratt regained a consistent spot in Geelong's team from 2023 onwards and never looked back, playing 33 of the Cats last 35 matches across the past three years.
Her impact in the team was particularly noticeable in 2024, with Pratt finishing runner-up in Geelong's VFLW Best and Fairest, only a few votes behind eventual winner, Lily Jordan.
Despite the Cats form throughout the year, Pratt was a reliable contributor averaging over 12 disposals and three tackles per game while also hitting the scoreboard on multiple occasions.
Again in 2025, Pratt has been solid for Geelong collecting eight disposals and two tackles per game.
Pratt will break the VFLW Cats games record on Saturday as Geelong look to register their first win of the season, taking on North Melbourne Werribee at Avalon Airport Oval.
Geelong's VFLW team will follow the VFL Cats, with Geelong set to take on Werribee from 11.35am AEST on Saturday.
