GMHBA Stadium

Geelong moved to what is now known as GMHBA Stadium from its former home ground – Corio Oval in 1941. Since then the ground has played host to the Cats' most successful eras with premierships in 1951 and 52 as well as four grand final appearances between 1989 and 1995. In round 9, 2017, the club unveiled the new Charles Brownlow Stand which helped increase the stadium's capacity to 36,000.

The Melbourne Cricket Ground is Australia's sporting Mecca and considered the Home of Football. With a capacity of almost 100,000, it is home to the AFL Grand Final and other matches such as the Anzac Day Blockbuster between Essendon and Collingwood each season. These days its title is somewhat misleading, for football dominates the ground during winter, while only a relative handful of international cricket matches are played there in summer. Nonetheless, the MCG has a special place in the hearts of all football fans in Victoria.
