There was plenty to like about the VFLW Cats' performance in the opening round of finals, despite the result not going their way, and now acting captain Claudia Gunjaca is back again to give her take ahead of a massive Semi Final.

Highlight of the week:

There were a lot of highlights in last week's game. Probably the thing that stood out for me the most was our pressure all day. Lots of tackles being laid, and we kept the ball in our forward 50 for quite a bit of time. So that was very postiive and probably the highlight for me.

What you're looking forward to about this week's game:

I think the girls are all looking forward to playing on GMHBA Stadium this week. It's been a while since we've had a game in Geelong, and I know all the girls will have some supporters coming along too, so that will be very exciting.

How the Cats can beat the Saints:

I think if we keep our strong pressure like we had last week, and clean up our skills and take our chances this week, then I think we're putting ourselves in a pretty good position to win.

The Cats player to watch:

Maddie Boyd has switched up her role and played down back the last couple of weeks. I think she's just been fantastic down there. We know her contested work is so strong, but she's also a very, very smart footballer, and brings a lot of knowledge to our team too.

Your message to the team:

I think our skipper Dele (Michelle Fedele) summed it up perfectly, and that was just to believe. Our time isn't up yet, we still have a lot more football left in us to play this season. So just believe in ourselves and we'll get the job done.
