GEELONG speedster Gary Rohan looks likely to return for the club’s preliminary final encounter with the Tigers.

Rohan missed last week’s semi-final win over the Eagles  with a posterior knee capsule issue which ended his night prematurely against Collingwood in week one of the finals campaign.

“It looks to us if Gary Rohan will be available, obviously pending training over the next couple of days,” Cats coach Chris Scott said.

“We’re not saying Gary is available – we’re just optimistic.”

Scott again ruled a line through reliable midfielder Mitch Duncan for this week, but stopped short of putting an end to his season.

“Mitch Duncan was the other one that didn’t play last week, he’ll be unavailable but we’re optimistic if we’re good enough there’s some possibility there for the following week,” Scott said.

Patrick Dangerfield, Tom Atkins and Brandan Parfitt all completed tailored training programs.

“We’ve got a few guys on individualised programs this morning that you wouldn’t have seen out there, that we are confident are fine,” Scott said.

“With those guys what we tend to do is stagger their warm-up a little bit. If he’s not going to start with the rest of the group there’s no point warming up with the rest of the group then standing around doing nothing.”
