This week the Geelong Cats launched its new and exciting events and conferencing business, Higher Mark.

Replacing Cats Hospitality, Higher Mark is a premium hospitality service that will provide unparalleled functions and events at GMHBA Stadium.

Chief Commercial Officer Braith Cox was thrilled with the launch and explained that a revamped food and beverage service at GMHBA Stadium was necessary.

“We’ve been in the new facility, which is the Charles Brownlow Stand, for just under two years, so we now have a great understanding of the spaces, what our food and beverage offering is and what the market requires. So as the offering has developed, we’ve developed.”

Higher Mark caters for a wide range of functions, whether it be for two or 2,000 people. The stadium has 32 event spaces including rooms that look over the ground, as well as external terraces with view of the Geelong city skyline and surrounding parkland. The dedicated culinary team onsite is also an advantage of creating events with Higher Mark.

“Every function needs great food and great service, whether it be for a business holding a meeting, a conference or trade show, all the way up to major events such as Gala Dinners.”

“We’ve got the largest, most flexible facility in Geelong, so we needed a brand that reflects that. Higher Mark plays on our history of being a football club but also plays on the future of providing great service and great food to the region, in the best venue in Geelong.”
