Geelong defender Tom Stewart will be on the plane to Adelaide and should take his place in the Cats’ preliminary final side to face the Crows on Friday night.

Reporting hamstring tightness late in Geelong’s semi-final win over Sydney at the MCG last week, Stewart was put on ice and sent for scans.

The results cleared the 24-year-old of any strain or tear and Cats head physio Mark Young says he’s good to go.

“He had a couple of big efforts in that first half and he was a little tight in the third quarter,” Young told this week’s GMHBA Health Report.

“We thought it was best to sit him considering the stage of the match and how he was presenting.”

“He’s trained fully this week and he’s available.”
