Fixture change paves way for double and triple headers

The VFLW Cats will now take on the Darebin Falcons at IKON Park from 10am, followed by the VFL game

A change in scheduling will allow Cats fans the chance to see all three Geelong teams take to the field this Saturday and in the coming weeks.

The VFLW team’s fixture against the Darebin Falcons has been moved to IKON Park and will kick off at 10am as a precursor to the VFL Cats’ clash with the Northern Blues at 1pm. The Cats will then take on Carlton at Etihad Stadium from 7:25pm.

There’s more to look forward to in the coming weeks with two consecutive double headers for the VFL and VFLW programs.

The VFLW side will face Box Hill on Saturday August 5 at 11:30am in a curtain raiser to the VFL Cats’ clash with Box Hill at 2pm. Both games will be held at Box Hill City Oval.

A week later, all three Geelong sides will be present at Kardinia Park in a rare triple-header on Saturday August 12.

The VFL Cats will take on Richmond on Simonds Stadium from 10:15am, followed by the VFLW Cats and VU Western Spurs on St Mary’s Oval from 11:45am. The day will culminate with the Cats squaring up against Richmond from 2:10pm at Simonds Stadium, in round 21 of the AFL home and away season.
