GEORGIE Rankin is excited to make her return to the Bendigo Bank Cats VFLW side to take on North Melbourne at Arden Street Oval on Saturday.

The AFLW midfielder emphasised the VFLW program is growing strength not only in performance but also a culture as well.

“Since coming back I can definitely feel them driving up standards and knowing that we needed to take a step forward and finish the season strong,” Rankin says.

With VFLW finals approaching quickly, Rankin highlighted the teams focus for the last few rounds.

“We just need to continue to do what we do really well and keep up those standards that have been set from the beginning and carrying them all the way through."

After finishing up the AFLW season, Rankin emphasised her ongoing positivity towards her form and her continual momentum of her personal development.

“I am really enjoying the down time. I have starting to get back into some ‘pre’ pre-season work but anytime we stop I am always keen to get back as soon as I can.”

The Bendigo Bank Cats have made four changes for its Round 11 clash with Madisen Maguire, Annie Haigh and Lizzy Dowling joining Rankin in the team this week. Dowling will be the latest Geelong Falcon to play her first VFLW game.

First bounce will be at 9.30am at Arden Street.
