Past Players & Officials Association

The Past Players & Officials Association (PP&OA) has been running since 1933 and provides past players and officials of the Geelong Football Club the opportunity to stay connected with their Club and to continue the friendships built during their playing days. The Association connects past players and officials from all eras and hosts game day social activities for past players and their guests.

The PP&OA has wonderful facilities on the ground floor of the Players Stand at GMHBA Stadium. The spacious room also houses the Russ Renfrey Bar and Gartland Heritage Centre.

Objectives of the Association:

  • To foster and maintain good fellowship and companionship for former players and officials
  • To keep alive the traditional spirit of the Cats
  • To raise money for worthy causes at the Geelong Football Club

Association Membership is available to any footballers who played one or more senior games (AFL or AFLW) with the Geelong Football Club, or who have played a minimum of 20 games with Geelong's AFL Reserve or VFL teams for men, or a minimum of 15 games with the corresponding VFLW team. It is also available to any former Senior Office Bearers of the Geelong Football Club, any Life Members and Football Support Staff of the Senior Team.

In 2019 the PP&OA will host nine match day functions at GMHBA Stadium. The Geelong Football Club generously provides the Association with 150 seats at home games.

For Reserved Seat tickets within the Past Players area at GMHBA Stadium home games, PP&OA Members are required to contact Brian Chirgwin on 0419 528 258 at least three days prior to the upcoming match. Any past players / officials travelling from out of town or interstate, who may require tickets/seat allocations for attendances, are encouraged to contact Brian well in advance of your anticipated visit to Geelong to reserve seats.

Tickets can be collected the week prior to the match as advised by Brian.

Should the reserved seat allocation be exhausted, Members and guests are still able to access the Past Players Rooms, however would be required to organise their own ground entry ticketing via or by calling 136 100 to access GMHBA Stadium. The Past Players Rooms is open two hours before the match, at half time or after home matches at GMHBA Stadium. We welcome all Members, their partners, children and family members into the rooms to catch up with former team mates. To access simply show your Past Player & Official Association Membership card, or ask to talk to a Committee Member at the door.

Please note that the 2019 Annual Golf Day will be held on Friday, 11 October 2019 at 13th Beach Golf Course.
