Past Player paver project

The Players Walk project began in 1999. Hand-print pavers of players were laid and supporters were invited to contribute to a "border" of plaques around the prints.

Subsequent stadium redevelopments improved facilities but repeated shifting and re-laying the Players Walk paves meant they finally could no longer be properly repositioned.

The Players Walk and accompanying supporters plaques are an important part of the Geelong Football Club story.

To recognise the importance of the Walk and the supporters plaques, the Club has created a large mural which tells the story of the Walk and records the names of all those who supported the project. The mural is located near the Doug Wade entry gate, on the large wall adjacent to the lifts for the Players Stand.
