Outlook
Confirmed his status as one of the great players of the modern era with a commanding performance on Grand Final day, which netted him the Norm Smith Medal and his third premiership medal. Tough in the clinches, he missed just one game in 2011 after taking a heavy knock in round 13 against St Kilda. An outstanding big-game player, Bartel has been placed in the best and fairest in each of Geelong’s three recent premiership years. Signed a new deal and looks set to finish his career as a one-club champion.
