Outlook
The gifted defender went from a virtual onlooker in the 2010 finals to a star in the 2011 campaign, using his poise and drive in defence to set up numerous attacking moves. After being dropped in last year’s finals series, Mackie bounced back in superb fashion and led the Cats in defensive rebounds. Played his 150th game in the Grand Final and has many years of good football ahead of him.
