For the first time in club history, the Cats’ membership base has grown to 52,000 dedicated, passionate members as of July 31.

This achievement highlights a run of significant membership milestones for the club and its members and sets a new benchmark in support.

By Christmas 2015, the club had welcomed 40,000 members into the fold and pushed past the previous, all-time membership record of 46,113 prior to round one.

In May, the next milestone was reached with the Cats’ securing 50,000 loyal members as the team celebrated with an emphatic victory over West Coast at Simonds Stadium.

Chief commercial officer Justin Reeves has today thanked members for their faith and support in reaching these new membership heights.

“To have now exceeded 52,000 members is not only exciting as the club readies itself for the challenge of September football, but is a testament to every individual whose passion and love of the Cats is such that they join us on our journey," Reeves said.

“We are actively searching for new ways to engage with our supporters and provide not only the best match day experience possible but ensure the experience of a Cats member in general is one of belonging and continues to set the standard across the AFL and sports industry.”

“2016 has seen us make meaningful inroads to this end and as such, we can celebrate our achievements with our members in the knowledge we will strive for further growth in 2017.”
