A Saturday afternoon clash at the MCG against the Demons might be the perfect combination for the Cats to find their “rhythm” says Herald Sun journalist Scott Gullan.

According to Gullan, the Dees look to have run out of steam and the Cats are on the verge of finding some form.

“It’s an interesting one with the Demons, there’s a sense they might have hit the wall,” Gullan told Cats TV on Argue the Toss.

“Fremantle took care of them up North quite easily and they’ve had a couple of bad loses in recent weeks, whereas they had been so good.”

As Gullan said, with the “Paul Roos factor”, it’s likely Saturday won’t be a repeat of the last seven games, where the Cats have been able to settled the wins with an average of 80-points.

“You think it will be different unless they have hit that wall and Geelong can expose them,” Gullan said.

“It is more of a challenge because of the Paul Roos factor, there’s no doubt.”

However, Gullan is confident the Cats have the experience to push through the Dees’ defensive game plan.

Gullan sees Saturday’s game as an opportunity for the Cats to rediscover their tough brand of football.

“I would suggest MCG on a Saturday afternoon the Cats should get their game running and attack, attack, attack. They haven’t had a decent flowing good forward game in my opinion,” Gullan explained.

“They just need a bit of rhythm and this is a game they could find a bit of attacking rhythm.”
