It’s now official, after a 62-point win over the Lions at Simonds Stadium the Cats have cemented a Qualifying Final against their biggest rival in the competition.
In only six days time, the Cats will meet the second-placed Hawks for their second blockbuster in less than two weeks at the MCG this Friday night.
Ending the 2014 home and away season with a total of 17 wins and five losses, the Cats finished equal first with Sydney and Hawthorn, however, in terms of percentage their official ranking was third.
