Headed back to the VFL after making his AFL debut in the loss to Melbourne in round 12. Lined up in the backline in the narrow victory over Werribee on Saturday. Didn't win a lot of the ball but blanketed his opponents by using the wet and wild conditions to his advantage.
George Horlin-Smith
Was among Geelong's best players against Werribee. Played through the midfield and finished with 26 disposals (17 contested), four tackles and seven inside-50s.
Billie Smedts
Lined up in the midfield in the clash with Werribee and was an impressive contributor. Tallied 18 disposals, six tackles and four marks. Was an emergency for the AFL game against North Melbourne, so is very much in contention to line up against the Western Bulldogs at Simonds Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Dean Gore
Has now played two VFL games after a long lay-off with a shoulder problem. Performed very well in the midfield against Werribee on Saturday, racking up 21 disposals, nine tackles and seven clearances. Yet to make his AFL debut but is pushing hard for a call-up.
Jarrad Jansen
Has been edging towards making his AFL debut for a number of weeks. Tallied 14 disposals and nine tackles in the VFL win over Werribee on the weekend.
