Scott Selwood is another step closer to a debut in Cats colours after re-joining the main training group this week.

The former Eagle is yet to join his brother in hoops after ongoing ankle issues, but has finally turned a corner according to head physio Mark Young.

“Scooter joined the boys for training today,” Young said in this week’s episode of nib Medical Room.

“He’s been a long time in rehab and he’s been waiting to get involved.”

“We’re really happy with his movement and he coped well today. He’ll look to see more training in the coming weeks.”

Meanwhile, Rhys Stanley appears likely to regain his spot in the Geelong side for a top-four clash with North Melbourne.

“Rhys was close to playing last week. His foot’s improving and he’ll be tested this week,” Young said.
