The AFL Coaches' Association has released its All Australian team.

The team was selected with the following points in mind:

* Use of a modern-day AFL team structure, including two ruckmen, as determined by AFLCA members who are opposition analysts

* The 22 players were selected in order of the number of votes each received in the 2016 AFLCA Champion Player of the Year award

Three Geelong players - Joel Selwood, Patrick Dangerfield and Corey Enright - were selected.
