Geelong coach Chris Scott moved into exalted company after Sunday’s win over Brisbane.

The win was Scott’s 82nd home and away win as Cats coach taking him past Malcolm Blight on 81 and into third place all time for Cats coaches.

Scott, who is signed until the end of 2017, has a fair way to go to reach numbers one and two on the list, Reg Hickey (175 wins) and Mark Thompson (150 wins).

Incredibly, his home and away win percentage of 73.66% is the highest of any VFL/AFL coach with over 60 games to his name.

Scott led the Cats to the 2011 premiership in his first year as senior coach.
