Tom Stewart will come straight back into the Cats' AFL team for Friday night's blockbuster clash with Adelaide.
The 24-year-old defender has been sidelined since suffering a facial fracture in the round 14 win over Fremantle.
He trained in a helmet at Simonds Stadium on Wednesday and is expected to wear the helmet in the match against the Crows.
"Stewy tested his helmet out in full contact," Cats physio Mark Young said on the round 18 episode of the GMHBA Health Report.
"No issues there."
