What an extraordinary game it was between the Cats and Giants at Spotless Stadium on Saturday night.

Geelong went in as underdogs after being forced to call in three debutants, including Wylie Buzza, who had to replace Daniel Menzel just before the team ran out.

Yet, with inspirational skipper Joel Selwood watching from the sidelines, the Cats produced one of their best performances of the season.

They had the ladder leaders' measure for much of the match, and they managed to claw their way back and level the scores after falling behind in the last quarter.

Among the highights for Geelong was Patrick Dangerfield's 45-disposal effort, the work from Sam Menegola and Mitch Duncan alongside Danger in the midfield, Harry Taylor's cool head down back and Cameron Guthrie's very effective move to the forward line.

Then there were the impressive debuts from Wylie Buzza, Sam Simpson and Zach Guthrie.

Buzza stole the headlines thanks to his 55m goal in the second quarter, but Simpson and Guthrie were very solid contributors as well.

Now it's your turn.
