Both Geelong and Adelaide enter Round three with a win to loss ratio of 1-1. However, because the two sides are in opposing conferences, Adelaide find themselves in fourth position in Conference A and Geelong find themselves in second position in Conference B.

Adelaide will enter the game on a high from last weekend’s 13-point win away against Carlton. Geelong will be looking to make amends following their 18-point loss to the Western Bulldogs.

Geelong will be strengthened by the inclusion of key players Rocky Cranston and Melissa Hickey. Cranston will add muscle to the Cats’ midfield and Hickey will provide invaluable experience and leadership on and off the field.

Adelaide have named their co-captain Chelsea Randall who was a late withdrawal last week with hamstring tightness. Randall is an outstanding talent who can play any position and the Cats will need to keep an eye on her.

Three key questions

Will Cranston and Phillips match up?
Both Cranston and Erin Phillips have been named in the midfield. Both are strong, smart and skilful players who can make a big difference to their respective sides. Will they match up on one another and who will have the biggest impact?

Who will play on Stevie-Lee?
Stevie-Lee Thompson was a standout last week for the Crows. The small forward had 17 disposals and kicked four goals. Who from the Cats will match up on the speedy forward?

Where will Hickey play?
Hickey will be a handy inclusion for the Cats, but Geelong’s defenders have had a wonderful start to the year. Will Hickey be a further addition to the defensive unit of Meghan McDonald, Bec Goring and Becky Webster? Or will she apply her experience to another part of the field?

Sunday's match will be held at Norwood Oval with the first bounce scheduled for 2.05pm local time. The match will be televised live on Fox Footy.
