The Cats have named a strong side to face the Western Bulldogs at Mars Stadium on Sunday.

The Cats welcome back several key players, headlined by Maddie Boyd for her first match of the VFLW season.

A pivitol member of Geelong’s inaugural VFLW side, Boyd brings AFLW experience from playing at Melbourne and GWS.

She is joined by Hayley Trevean and Kate Darby, who are also returning from injury.

Tiahna Andree-Jansz will make her VFLW debut for the Cats. A local player, Andree-Jansz played for the Geelong Falcons in the TAC Cup Youth girls competition last season.

The Western Bulldogs have also welcomed back significant talent in recent weeks, including AFLW premiership captain Ellie Blackburn.

It is no coincidence that they have won their last two matches and will be tough to beat this Sunday.

The match is scheduled to commence at 2pm.
