Harry Taylor has sung the praises of the young Cats defence and backed the unit to get the job done once again after his first game since round one against the Demons.

While Taylor collected 20 disposals and six marks in his return, it was the overall work of defensive group that stood out, as they kept Collingwood to just five goals.

“All those guys down back who are pretty young, pretty experienced are playing great footy for us”, Taylor said speaking post game.

“It’s great for our development, great for our confidence, great for an older player like me to see the growth of these guys. Some one-on-one contests late in the game and Tommy Stewart just wins them, Mark Blicavs gets a hand in and makes a spoil.”

Tom Stewart had a career-high 28 disposals and nine marks, in what many are calling the start of an All-Australian season.

“The ability from some of our young defenders, Tommy Stewart was fantastic again.”

Geelong has conceded more than seven goals just once in their past five games, after conceding 30 in the opening two rounds.

The Cats will take on the Bombers at the MCG on Saturday. Make sure you arrive early for the Powercor Country Festival clash.
