Jordan Cunico will return to action in the VFL Cats' clash with the Box Hill Hawks on Saturday.

Cunico has been sidelined for more than a month by an ankle injury, but he is now back to full fitness.

"He will play [this weekend]," Cats physio Mark Young said on the latest episode of the GMHBA Health Report.

"He's completed his rehab, we're really confident with him.

"He'd tell you he was ready last week, we're confident this week, you'll see him on the weekend."

A skilful midfielder, Cunico has played one AFL game this season.

That was back in round 10 when he tallied 12 disposals against Port Adelaide at Simonds Stadium.
