Jed Bews was the only Geelong player to poll a vote in the AFL Coaches' Association Champion Player of the Year award after the Cats' 21-point loss to Adelaide on Friday night.

Bews was rewarded for his excellent performance on dangerous Crows forward Eddie Betts.

Patrick Dangerfield has slipped back to second place on the leaderboard after being overtaken again by Richmond star Dustin Martin.
