Joel Selwood has been offered a fine by the MRP after being reported for rough conduct on West Coast's Sam Mitchell.

Selwood was fined $1500 but can have the penalty reduced to $1000 with an early guilty plea.

He is free to line up in Sunday's clash with Fremantle at Simonds Stadium.

Mitchell was cleared of any wrongdoing for his part in the fracas.

Eagles midfielder Luke Shuey can accept a $1000 fine after being charged with rough conduct against Cats star Patrick Dangerfield.

Luke Shuey, West Coast, has been charged with engaging in rough conduct against Patrick Dangerfield, Geelong Cats, during the first quarter of the Round 13 match between West Coast and the Geelong Cats, played at Domain Stadium on Thursday June 15, 2017. 

In summary, he can accept a $1000 sanction with an early plea. 

Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from the Geelong Cats Football Club, the incident was assessed as careless conduct with low impact to the head. The incident was classified as a $1500 sanction. The player has no applicable record which impacts the penalty. An early plea enables the player to accept a $1000 sanction.

Other incidents assessed

Contact between West Coast’s Sam Mitchell and the Geelong Cats’ Joel Selwood from the first quarter of Thursday’s match was assessed. After assessing all available vision, the panel said Mitchell grabbed Selwood from behind and took him to ground. It was the view of the panel the action was not a striking action and there was insufficient high contact to constitute a reportable offence. No further action was taken.
