The Cats have rocketed past their next membership milestone with an incredible 55,000 members signing up so far in 2017.

The Cats set a new membership record of 52,198 in April and today ticked over 55,000 members.

The exciting news follows the opening of the Charles Brownlow Stand in May including amazing member focussed facilities such as the GMHBA Fan Portal, Charles & Co café, Cats Shop concept store, Jack Rabbit Bar as well as the new Geelong Social Club.

Acting CEO Justin Reeves said the milestone is something all Geelong people should be proud of.

“2017 has been a big year for the football club both on and off the field and the way our membership base has responded has been fantastic.” Reeves said.

“Perhaps the most exciting thing however is the amount of home games at Simonds Stadium that still remain this year.”

“We encourage any Cats fan who hasn’t signed up as of yet to purchase a three game membership giving them access to not only their choice of the Dockers, Swans, Tigers and Giants games to come at Simonds Stadium but also our MCG blockbuster against the Hawks as well.”

The Simonds Stadium redevelopment has seen a dramatic increase in the amount of general admission seating and standing room at the ground that allows general admission members to scan in to the ground and enjoy the facilities.
