Joel Selwood has become the youngest player in history to register 180 wins at VFL/AFL level.

The Cats’ 38-point win over St Kilda in round five made Selwood the 50^th player to reach the milestone and the youngest by some 537 days.

The win also marked the fifth time the 28-year-old Geelong captain has started the season 5-0. Teammate Harry Taylor shared the accolade, with both players joining former Cat Jimmy Bartel as the only men to start the first five games undefeated in five separate seasons.
