Joel Selwood's performance against the Saints was one for the ages.

The Cats' skipper tallied 43 disposals, eight marks, nine tackles and a goal in an effort that Chris Scott descibed as "spectacular".

Such was Selwood's dominance, there is no doubt that he'll poll the maximum votes in every award going around.

But while Selwood was the key reason that Geelong defeated St Kilda in what was a cracking game of footy, he had plenty of support from his teammates.

And this got us thinking ... who was second-best on ground?

Was it Patrick Dangerfield, who was less influential than usual in the first three quarters only to bob up with two vital goals in the last quarter.

Was it Darcy Lang, who came into the game fresh and enjoyed a brilliant afternoon in the midfield, finishing with 25 disposals and two goals?

Was it George Horlin-Smith, whose work when the game was on the line was sensational?

Or was it Zach Tuohy, who is proving to be one of the recruits of the year?
