The VFLW Cats have claimed their maiden win in their first-ever outing, defeating the AFL Victoria Academy by 22 points at Spring Creek Reserve, Torquay on Easter Sunday.

Elise Strachan was awarded the Surf Coast Times Medal for best player.

The VFLW Cats will be in action again this weekend in a practice match against the VU Western Spurs. That match will be held at Drysdale Reserve from 1pm on Saturday 22 April. Entry is free.
