Geelong has confirmed its team for the Easter Monday clash with Hawthorn at the MCG.

The Cats have made just one change to the side that defeated Melbourne last weekend, with Nakia Cockatoo replacing Lincoln McCarthy.

The team was confirmed at 4.30pm on Saturday afternoon.

Josh Cowan and George Horlin-Smith, who were named in the initial 25-man squad, had been withdrawn earlier on Saturday.

Horlin-Smith will spend another weekend on the sidelines due to his thumb injury, while Cowan was ruled out due to Achilles soreness.

Cowan and Horlin-Smith were replaced in the squad by Jed Bews and Darcy Lang.

Bews and Lang were subsequently named as emergencies when the final team was revealed.

The other emergency is Rhys Stanley.
