Geelong has named its team to play Melbourne on Saturday.

James Parsons, who was elevated to the senior list on Thursday afternoon, will make his AFL debut.

Parsons has been named on a half-forward flank.

He is one of four inclusions in the side, with Zac Smith, Cameron Guthrie and Sam Menegola also getting call-ups.

Guthrie has recovered from his calf problems, while Smith and Menegola starred in last weekend's VFL practice match win.

Rhys Stanley and Darcy Lang have been omitted, while George Horlin-Smith has been sidelined by his broken thumb and Josh Cowan has been managed.
