The man who kicked the winning goal against North Melbourne on Sunday, George Horlin-Smith, says becoming a more attacking player is something he focussed on during the pre-season.

Horlin-Smith pushed forward on a number of occasions during the clash with the Roos, finishing with five inside-50s and two goals.

"I've looked to add some new elements to my game," he told RSN Breakfast on Monday morning.

"And one of those was to be a little bit more dangerous in the forward half of the ground.

"Hopefully I can continue to do that for the rest of the season."
